A Christmas Carol

So we had decided that we wouldn't be able to be in Savior of the World this year with Orson's crazy work "Turn-around" schedule during October and November.  Then we got an email invite from our SotW Stage Manager to audition for A Christmas Carol at the new Center Point Theatre in Centerville (which replaced the old Rogers-Memorial Theatre).  I knew that this would really be the last year Kurt could possibly play the role of Tiny Tim, which is a role he is perfect for.  So even though we knew it was a long shot, we decided to audition.  Now Lance is at an awkward age for theater, because he can't really play a child anymore, but isn't tall enough to play an adult yet, so he decided not to audition, which made it possible for me to be in the play, because now we had a babysitter.
After call-backs, we were thrilled to recieve our roles: Kurt as Tiny Tim, Derek as Peter Cratchit, and Deveri as the Young Scrooge's mother.  We were surprised and overwhelmed at the amount of rehearsals, but now that our run has begun, we are less busy and really having a great time.

Many of our family and friends have come to support us, including my sister Annisha who just gave birth to twins!  And my sister Caralee changed her flight form Texas just to catch our last play.
Kurt is a fabulous Tiny Tim.  He has such a cute singing voice, is such a natural actor, and the whole cast loves him.  We have met so many amazing and wonderful friends in the cast.
I play a townsperson in many other scenes during the play.  This is my "charwoman" costume, but I have 4 other nicer costumes I will have to post pictures of later.  The costume changes are crazy!
And a big thanks to Orson for letting us do this!
