We had to ferry from Cozumel to the Mexican mainland, then take an hour bus ride south to get to these ancient mayan ruins. We had to take the Carnival cruise excursion, because no other company could promise to get us back to the ship in time. So it was the most expensive excursion and had 40 people for one tour guide. We were disappointed that there was no Mayan pyramids there, just some cool temples and columns and such.

As we tried to get a picture with these guys near the bus parking lot, they kindly took the camera for us, got all posed, then told us it would cost some ridiculous amount to have our picture taken with them. Plus, we were in a big hurry to keep up with our tour group, so we kindly declined, and thank goodness they gave the camera back. I guess Orson snapped this photo on the sly.
