Derek did a Science Fair project all on his own again this year even though it was a completely optional thing. It was called "An Uphill Battle: Using Kinetic Energy" and he got marbles to roll uphill. He wants to be an inventor.He is also doing very well in the Math Olympiad Contests. Deveri is "coaching" both Derek and Lance's class Olympiad Teams. I am loving finally volunteering for something that I am trained and passionate about. Derek is a true math geek like his mom!
