On Dec. 4th, I finally went to an Orthopedic Surgeon (upon the coaxing of Orson) about a growth on my wrist and some tendonitis in the same wrist caused by "baby duties" that I just couldn't get rid of. The doctor was very concerned about this growth and wanted to remove and biopsy it and figured he might as well operate on the tendonitis problem while he was in there. So only 6 days after going in to the doctor, I had unplanned surgery in the middle of the Christmas season. It was a mysterious but benign tumor. I had to wear this large cast for only a week and have slowly been able to start using it more and more and am hoping it will continue to recover completely. I got lots of help form my great hubby, people form the ward, and the YW even wrapped my Christmas gifts for me. Only problem is when I went to have the stitches removed another doctor in the office mistakenly clipped the stitches (which are under the skin) because she thought they were the dissolvable kind. But come to find out, they are not and I now have thick blue fishing wire trapped under my skin forever!
